The
seismic data sections are captured with the following sequence:
Scanning.
Editing heavy interpretation/annotation
marks present on the originals.
Reconstruction if
necessary due to poor quality originals.
On these poor quality prints optimum results are best achieved by
scanning not directly to a binary file (black and white) but to an
intermediate greyscale file.
The greyscale file is then converted to a binary file by the Greyconv
software, which uses the application of a rapidly changing, multi-dimensional
dynamic threshold as well as an image filtering system.
This software technique enables both light and dark areas of the same
print to be
successfully captured in one pass of the document. |
